
The 2021 SCA National Senior Leadership Forum will take place over 29-30 April at the Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach, with welcome drinks on 28 April to kick things off.
This Forum is designed for experienced strata managers with leadership responsibilities. The program will focus on high-level development, strengthening your leadership skills to have a competitive edge and develop an innovative team.
Whether it be in the context of leading your team on a day-to-day basis or advocating for a wider strata issue, we will equip you with strategies and information that will maximise your years of experience to optimise your role as a senior strata manager.

She will take delegates through a session to power-charge their media skills in record time and provide strategies to help with any advocacy work you may be tasked with. Theaanna Kiaos PhD
Day 1 Session - Cognitive Diversity Framework
Theaanna Kiaos is a recognized expert in the area of organisational culture, diversity and inclusion. Applying a cognitive diversity framework in the workplace, where everyone has the opportunity to transparently communicate, to be understood and to be valued means that our differences in perspective and our ability to leverage them through collaborative processes can be fully realised. The purpose of this presentation is to take you through a practical cognitive diversity framework that leaders can apply within organisational settings in an effort to achieve greater cognitive diversity within their teams.
Dr Nicole Johnston
Day 1 Session - Deakin Strata Insurance Research Project - Latest Findings
Dr Nicole Johnston will be giving an insight into the Deakin research team’s findings, including defining insurance remuneration models, insurance levies and stamp duty analysis, and a comparative analysis of strata insurance regulations across Australia. In addition, Dr Johnston will talk through the preliminary data relating to insurance coverage across all Australian jurisdictions and the strata manager survey answered by more than 420 managers within the industry.

Day 1 Session - 2021 Leadership Challenge: Cultivate Calmness and Stability in a Stressed, Unstable World
Adrian, corporate leadership expert, will explore calmness and stability as a leadership priority with a focus on developing awareness through mindfulness and emotional intelligence. Via prioritising calmness and stability, today’s leader may build:

Shaun Allingham and Themelina Johns
Day 2 Session - Business Continuity: Planning to Succeed even when Disaster Strikes
Shaun and Themelina will present on the importance of business continuity teams and how to go about structuring within a business to plan for disaster, whether that be natural or cyber.

Shaun Allingham is the NSW Chapter Leader for the Business Continuity Institute. He has over 20 years' experience in resilience, having held both consulting and management roles in Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

Themelina Johns has been a passionate advocate for business continuity and resilience for over a decade, leading teams and organisations within the financial services, telco, big4 consulting and manufacturing industries. She is currently leading the Risk & Resilience programs for Lion.
