Sally Woolford

What does  Diversity and Inclusion really mean in 2021, why is it central to each and every one of us and the work we do, and how you can build momentum in your organisation so everyone plays a role in creating Belonging.

Join Sally Woolford, Business Director at mwah. as she provides insights and perspective on why diversity and inclusion is more important than ever in a ‘living with COVID’ world.


Sally has strong expertise in change, projects and their impacts on people gained from government and non-government roles in emergency services, road safety, defence, child protection and reform programs.

Her career achievements include leading cultural reform in SA Police to enhance the organisational culture to being one of safety and respect and being recognized for that work. Sally was awarded with the South Australian Women in Innovation Award for Innovation and Intrapreneurship in Government in 2019 for her work.   

Governance in the role of a strata committee 

David Spear FAICD FAIM

David is an experienced professional Company Director and currently a Director and Partner of national Governance Consulting firm of VUCA.

David will outline the importance of good governance practices in a strata committee and the role of strata manager as secretary of a committee.

 

Before VUCA, David spent 8 years in a high profile and highly successful role as SA/NT State Director of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, learning and developing his unique skills to assist Boards and Company's in Corporate Governance and Board Performance Evaluation. He drove an outstanding record 8 consecutive years of year on year growth including revenue, profitability and membership, even through the Global Financial Crisis.

In November 2013, David attended the Harvard Business School, in Boston Massachusetts, where he studied Board Governance and is now an Alumni member.

The role of the Strata Manager in the Courts

Michael Fotheringham

Michael Fotheringham is a principal in the Insurance & Health team of Barry.Nilsson. Lawyers. Michael will provide insight on the following to assist managers:
 

  • Debt Collection best practice

    • Legal

    • Mediation

    • Courts

  • What to do BEFORE getting to court

  • What to do WHEN going to court

In addition to his insurance work, Michael has a great deal of experience in running general commercial litigation matters. In his spare time, Michael uses his legal skills to assist a number of not-for-profit organisations. 

Michael is listed as a Preeminent Professional Indemnity Lawyer and a Leading Leading Public and Product Liability Lawyer in South Australia in the 2020 edition of Doyle's Guide. Michael was also recognised in the 2018 - 2021 editions of Best Lawyers for Insurance Law.
