"Our Policy Priorities for Strata Reform"

The policy focuses on two main themes: a thriving strata sector and sustainable, affordable strata living.

To strengthen the strata sector, it proposes creating a federal portal for resources and education, setting national standards for strata managers by 2025, supporting the establishment of a Strata Commissioner, guiding state regulators on commission transparency, and increasing VET funding to grow the profession.

For sustainability, the policy aims to develop energy efficiency ratings and disclosure systems, advance the National Electric Vehicle Strategy, ensure planning addresses strata-specific issues like parking and building quality, fund programs for EV infrastructure, solar power, energy efficiency, and internet, and expand grants to support young people and low-income groups in purchasing strata homes.

Additionally, it calls for improved coordination to address combustible cladding and building defects.

A Thriving Strata Sector:

  • National Strata Knowledge Hub

  • Higher Education Standards for strata managers

  • State Strata Commissioner Support

  • Transparency in Fair Remunerations

  • Investing in the Future Workforce of strata Managers
