Retrofit Melbourne: supporting zero carbon ready commercial buildings

Nearly 60% of the municipality of Melbourne's greenhouse gas emissions come from commercial buildings; much of this coming from mid-tier grade buildings. Melbourne will fall short of its net zero emissions by 2040 target by 23% if nothing is done to retrofit buildings to be 'zero carbon ready', even if the electricity grid fully decarbonises. Jack will dive into how the eleven key initiatives in the Retrofit Melbourne report are designed to support zero carbon ready retrofits of commercial buildings and help achieve the city's emissions goals.
