Mark commenced his role as a Body Corporate Manager with Whittles in August 2014. Through this Mark has gained extensive experience with Project Management, Policy Development, Service Delivery, Strategic Planning, Records Management, Facilities Management, and Freedom of Information amongst others.

Above all, his professional background has helped Mark develop a strong foundation in communication. Mark has the ability to communicate verbally (both in person and over the phone) using active listening skills, asking appropriate questions, and being aware of both his own and other’s non-verbal cues. Mark believes clear and concise communication is crucial for strata management as considered and frequent communication improves efficiency, taking significant time off projects and potentially avoiding conflicts and reducing challenges.

Conflict management is an inevitable aspect of Mark’s role, and Mark has accomplished skills in managing people and responding to and dealing with conflict acquired through his Graduate Diploma in Counselling. Mark approaches this area based on problem solving and collaboration - two tasks which are best done with a hands-on, face-to-face approach.

Mark has an ongoing desire to provide leadership by way of mentoring team members and was recognised as the recipient of the Whittles’ Director's Award. Mark is involved in developing and refining business processes and systems so that our whole team can run more efficiently. Mark attends SCA sessions to learn more about the industry and how to better ensure the relevancy of professional Body Corporate Managers and Mark believes he can assist the professional body for the betterment of our industry.
